About Oscar’s Revenge

An independent game from the archive. Explore the screenshots below; the game is not currently available to download.
Development
Built with
- Unity & C#
- Gameplay, enemy behaviour, saving and iOS touch controls.
- Illustrator & Photoshop
- Game artwork.
Built in Unity with C#, with artwork made using Illustrator and Photoshop. The work included enemy behaviour, saving, scene navigation and iOS touch controls. I also worked on mobile performance through sprite batching, object pooling and reducing draw calls and overdraw.
What I built
Gameplay & systems
I wrote all gameplay code in Unity and C#, including enemy AI, obstacles, scene navigation and saving player progress. I integrated and adapted 2D Toolkit and 2D Character Controller for the game’s visuals and movement.
Artwork & interface
I created the game concept, level designs, artwork, animations and UI. I developed the game independently, covering both the programming and visual design, as well as marketing.
Performance & devices
I implemented iOS touch controls, debugged device compatibility issues and optimised mobile performance through sprite batching, object pooling, reduced draw calls and overdraw, shader use, and image and audio optimisation.
